Wed 28th APR 7.30pm Quiz Nite with full Pie & Peas supper. Tickets £3.
Sat 22nd MAY 10.00 am Coffee Morning with Bacon Butties. Also Cake Stall.
Sat 19th JUNE 1.00pm Centenary Village Walk followed by Jacobs Join tea. Why not dress as you would have done in 1910?
Sat 18th SEPT 7.00 for 7.30pm Centenary Concert by Octameron. Wine, soft drinks, nibbles. Tickets £6
Wed 20th OCT 7.30pm Wine Tasting Event with expert John Barnes to lead you through some world-wide wines. Tickets £7
Wed 3rd NOV 10.00am - 4.00pm Christmas Fayre with refreshments. Books, cards, wrapping paper, small gifts etc.

The Annual General Meeting held on 4th Nov 2009
The following people were elected to serve on the Reading Commitee for 2009-2010:
Brendis Adshead, Paul Adshead, Carol Booth, Elaine Illingworth, Sue Marshall, David Rawsthorne, Richard Schofield, Ron Stone.
John Harrison agreed to continue as the Thursday Club representative, with Angela Booth representing the Young Farmers.The Snooker Club no longer meets in the Reading Room.
All the officers agreed to continue for another year:
Ron Stone - Chairman
David Rawsthorne - Treasurer
Sue Marshall - Secretary
A proposal to form a "Friends of Rathmell Reading Room" was accepted.
GRANT AWARD FOR REFURBISHMENT OF READING ROOM
The Reading Room has been awarded a grant of £5000 for refurbishment & improvements from Grassroots Grants which is delivered in North Yorkshire by the Yorkshire Millennium Trust in partnership with York & North Yorkshire Community Foundation.The grant will fund equipment for the kitchen, electrical work to kitchen & snooker room and fire safety building work.
This was announced at the Nosh & Natter event held on Sat. 21st Feb.at Joan & Bryan Procters’ home at Cockley Bank.With this grant & other money raised particularly at the Nosh & Natter, the Reading Room will go into its centenary year in 2010 with much improved community facilities and will hopefully carry on for another 100 years.
